How do you define Health?
We often don't prioritise our mental and social well-being as much as we should.
🔶 Oftentimes when thinking of becoming a healthier version of myself in the past, I have focused a lot on the physical aspect of health and not as much on the mental and social well-being side of things.
🔶 This is something to consider for 2022 planning - what are some practical steps I can take or new habits I can develop to help improve my mental and social well-being?
🔸 Mental: Meditation 🧘♂️ (which studies have shown to reduce stress and anxiety) and expressing Gratitude 🙏 (which has been correlated with improving mental health) have both worked well for me in the past - for example:
▪️ Action: Adding meditation as part of my morning routine, writing down 3 things I am grateful for at the end of each day.
🔸 Social: Who are the people that had the greatest impact on me this year? How can I see and collaborate with them more? (These are just some of the many great questions I found in Modern Wisdom Year Review).
▪️ Action: Write a list of your top 3 relationships, that you would like to invest in for 2022 and make a plan to give them a call or meet in person (for a coffee or a walk) on a regular basis.
Consider some mental and social well-being best practices in your health and fitness goals for 2022 as they have the power to massively improve the quality of your life with relatively little input!
